WORSHIP LEADER AT HEBRON NEW LIFE CHURCH (HEBRON, OH)

**Position Overview:**

We are a Global Methodist church. We adhere to Wesleyan theology.

The Church Worship Leader plays a crucial role in creating a spiritually uplifting and engaging worship experience for the congregation. This individual will lead and coordinate the musical aspects of worship services.Ìý We have both a 9:00 Traditional and 10:30 Contemporary Sunday morning service. You will be working closely with the pastoral team to enhance the overall worship atmosphere for both services. Eventually we would like to grow this position into a full time Associate Pastor position.

Total of 15 -20 hours a week.

**Qualifications:**

  • That you have surrendered your life to Christ and follow Him.
  • Be able to play an instrument or instruments, sing and be able to help team members learn their parts for each song.
  • Demonstrate musical proficiency and knowledge of various worship styles.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with pastoral staff and volunteers.
  • A clear understanding of worship theology and the ability to convey spiritual messages through music.
  • Be able to use and create chord charts for band members.
  • Be willing to work with/audition new musicians to help them grow.
  • Formal musical education or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a worship leadership role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  1. **Musical Leadership:**
  • Lead and direct the worship band and vocalists during rehearsals and live services.
  • Select and arrange appropriate songs that align with the church’s theology.
  • Foster an environment that encourages spiritual growth and connection through music.
  1. **Worship Planning:**
  • Have a familiarization with Planning Center and ProPresenter for planning weekly worship services and for scheduling band members.Ìý Always have a minimum of a month of songs scheduled in advance and coordinate a singer/musician monthly schedule rotation.
  • Maintain and update musical resources, including sheet music and chord charts.
  1. **Spiritual Guidance:**
  • ÌýEmbody a strong personal faith and commitment to spiritual growth.
  • ÌýEncourage and mentor team members in their spiritual and musical journeys.
  • ÌýLead by example, fostering a worship culture that reflects the church’s values.
  1. **Technical Coordination:**

Have a willingness to learn about the basic sound system and to coordinate with audiovisual teams.

  1. **Team Building:**
  • Recruit, train, and develop musicians and vocalists within the church community.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere within the worship team.
  • Begin practice with sharing prayer concerns and prayer.

EXECUTIVE ADMINISTRATOR AT PALM VALLEY LUTHERAN CHURCH (ROUND ROCK, TX)

Palm Valley Lutheran Church is seeking candidates for Executive Administrator to begin August 1, 2024. Candidates must possess the leadership, knowledge, and experience required for the position and embrace and support Palm Valley Lutheran Church and its ministry. This position is salaried, with a commensurate salary and experience plus a comprehensive benefits package.

I. Primary Function

Provides strategic leadership and management of the church’s day-to-day business, financial, and administrative affairs, including human resources, facilities management, technology, and other administrative functions.

II. Relationships

  • Reports to the Senior Pastor.
  • Works collaboratively with all staff, including ordained staff and church members.
  • Supports the Church Council, Finance, Property, Endowment, and Personnel Teams of the church.
  • Works with the Portico Benefits organization and outside vendors, including employee benefits providers, property and casualty insurance carriers, and technology contractors.
  • Networks with people having similar responsibilities in other churches and participate in The Church Network.

III. Primary Responsibilities

  • Functions as the chief financial officer of the church. Supervises the accurate recording of pledges, accounts payable, preparation of financial reports and issuance of payments, counting of receipts, deposits, memorials, investments, transfers of stocks and bonds, oversight of financial statements, conduct of annual audits and other financial concerns of the church, including the Palm Valley Lutheran Cooperative Preschool (PVLCP).
  • Manages multiple funds for the church, endowment, cemetery, and other endowed/invested funds.
  • Develop, in concert with the Senior Pastor, Council, and ministry teams, the overall church financial plan for ministry, including PVLCP.
  • Oversees the employment, evaluation, and supervision of non-ministry employees.
  • Administers human resources policies, including personnel policies, salary increases, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversees technology support of operations, working closely with contractors, vendors, and lay volunteers.
  • Oversees the operation and maintenance of the church’s properties, including the cemetery.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

V. Attributes, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, and ten years of experience and progressive leadership in finance and administrative services are preferred.

  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Is highly organized and self-directed.
  • Relates well to people in person and by phone.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and experience with budgets and financial statements.
  • Demonstrates proficiency with applicable computer software and databases. Knowledge and experience in Automated Church Systems (ACS) and Pushpay’s Church Community Builder are highly desired.
  • Demonstrates logical reasoning ability in a variety of situations.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and proficiency in Human Relations and personnel matters.

YOUTH DIRECTOR AT PALM VALLEY LUTHERAN CHURCH (ROUND ROCK, TX)

PRIMARY FUNCTION

  • Develop and direct a plan to set and accomplish goals in Youth Ministry (every six months)
  • Nurture relationships with youth through personal contacts such as visits, texts, telephone calls, counseling, school events, etc. Promote all youth events through articles in church newsletters, telephone calls, websites, social media, and postcards.
  • Personal and mature faith in Jesus Christ, regular attendance and involvement in worship, and a life of Christian integrity. • Facilitate and coordinate volunteer opportunities for the youth in the community
  • Plan and organize fundraising events benefiting the youth programs
  • Recruit and train youth and adults to serve in leadership roles.

  • Provide monthly and annual reports on the Youth Ministry.
  • Facilitate and coordinate youth involvement in congregation activities and Synod and National ELCA youth events.
  • Work with the Youth Ministry Team to plan and implement all youth events.
  • Work cooperatively with other committees as needed, especially the Christian Faith Team.
  • Develop spiritual growth of the Palm Valley Youth (Wednesday Night Youth)
  • Model and mentor the Christian life and integrity and lead by example.
  • Participate in Worship Services as needed (i.e., Confirmation, liturgy, etc.)
  • Participate in the Confirmation ministry.
  • Integrate Christian Education into all youth activities.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A college degree or equivalent is desirable, plus Biblical courses as an adult.
  • Ability to organize events and manage fiscal affairs of the youth program under the guidance of the Pastors.
  • Personal and mature faith in Jesus Christ, regular attendance and worship involvement, and a Christian integrity life.
  • Knowledgeable in and affirms Lutheran theology.
  • Ability to relate well with both youth and adults.
  • Willingness to work cooperatively with church staff, Christian Education Committee, Youth Ministry Team, and volunteers.

YOUTH MINISTER AT HERITAGE CHURCH (HATTIESBURG, MS)

Heritage Church is an 800+ member Methodist church in the Oak Grove area of Hattiesburg.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Youth Minister is responsible for the management and implementation of all youth programs, activities, and discipleship for 6th-12th grade youth
  • Equip parents and families in discipleship of youth
